VMC Magic Competition to be held Monday, February 27 starting at 7pm at Victoria’s Magic Corner, 1921 W San Carlos, San Jose.

Every competitor will receive a prize and feedback from the judges.  The grand prize will be FREE admission to next month’s special magic class with guest teacher Magic Mike!

This competition is not open to the public.  Only students and their families are invited and only current and former students are eligible to be in the contest.  There is no fee to be in the contest.  Music (music is not required, but can be used if the competitor wants) must be on CD.  Each competitor can perform ONE effect in front of the judges.

Please don’t be shy!  This will be a fun learning experience with lots of free magic prizes.  Practice your favorite effect and come show us your stuff:)

Grave Mistake is Silicon Valley’s Zombie Advocacy group. They have been participating in Thrill the World since 2009.

The annual worldwide event is the simultaneous dancing of Michael Jackson’s classic video, complete with costumed zombies of every type. And you can get your fabulous costumes at Victoria’s Dance and Costume located at 1921 West San Carlos St., San Jose, CA.

Dance workshops start this month in preparation for the event.

This year event organizers have partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. The Grave Mistake Food and Fund Drive is raising money for area families in need. This the first year partnering with the food bank, but they hope to make it an annual tradition.
This Halloween season don’t just dress like a zombie and shamble around aimlessly. Head down to San Jose and be a part of a zombie classic.

But the fact is, why be yourself when being somebody else is so much more fun?

That’s the message from the folks who bring you the annual Saturday Night Haunt Halloween Party Weekend each year at Carlos Goldstein’s in San Jose, California.

Located at 1150 Murphy Ave, in San Jose, the all-night event starts Saturday, October 30. The live music starts at 9 p.m., but the action starts even earlier with drink specials at multiple bars and food.
They will have a DJ playing old school favorites from the 80’s, 90’s and today. Plus, live music from the band, SHOWTYME, playing the hits you know.

You don’t have to wear a costume, but what’s the fun in that? Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character; a Civil War soldier; pirate or English naval hero. Wear whatever gives you the most latitude to leave behind your 9 to 5 attire and be exactly who you are on the inside and you might walk away with a cool prize in their costume contest.
